{"id":2061,"date":"2022-07-23T23:19:13","date_gmt":"2022-07-24T03:19:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/virtualracingchampionship.com\/?page_id=2061"},"modified":"2026-04-11T16:54:57","modified_gmt":"2026-04-11T20:54:57","slug":"seriesdescription","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/virtualracingchampionship.com\/index.php\/seriesdescription\/","title":{"rendered":"SeriesDescription"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-luminous-vivid-amber-color has-text-color\">General<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size: 14px;\">VRC is proud to announce the VRC 2026 Spring GT3 Series.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-white-color has-text-color\">\r\n<li>The series uses the Studio 397 GT3 cars. You only need to own the car you will be using during the season. Some of the tracks will be DLC and some free. You will also need to own the DLC tracks to join the server. Cars and tracks can be purchased here (look for items on sale and\/or bundles): <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/itemstore\/365960\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">S397 Cars and Tracks<\/a><\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>The series consists of 11 races awarding points.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Races will be streamed live in our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCZ1k7e7vdxvKgNBE9PBxsFQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">VRC Youtube<\/a> channel.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Race start has a formation Lap (under Speed Limiter) with Rolling Start in double file until crossing start \/ finish line<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Each driver is required to perform a mandatory pit stop, taking on a minimum of 2 tires. The driver may choose when this pit stop happens. Pit stop at the end of the formation lap does not count as a mandatory race pit stop.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Allowed assists will be Auto Clutch only. Drivers may change Traction Control and boost under setup options.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Car damage is set to 70% in the server.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>The calendar, results and standings can be found here on the web site.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Discussion for this series will be done in Discord: <a href=\"https:\/\/discord.com\/invite\/CN5pzq2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Join VRC Discord Channel<\/a><\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>The Admins will not allow a driver to race if it is determined that he\/she has not practised enough to drive safely around the track.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>We have Driver and Team championships (A maximum of 3 drivers per team. Minimum allowed temperature 2 degrees C. (Example: If the upcoming race is at Sebring. The server Admin will check the real life weather for Sunday at Sebring. 32C and overcast is expected. Server temperature will be set up to 32C overcast for all sessions.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-luminous-vivid-amber-color has-text-color\"><br \/>VRC Skinpack<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size: 14px;\">You can download it here: <a href=\"https:\/\/steamcommunity.com\/sharedfiles\/filedetails\/?id=2358980533\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">VRC SKINPACK<\/a> (or search for &#8216;VRC&#8217; in the rFactor 2 Steam workshop). Just click &#8216;subscribe&#8217;, wait for the download and you&#8217;re ready to go. This skinpack is required to join the server. If you experience any issues with the pack, please notify us in Discord using the @VRC Admin tag and we will be looking into it.<br \/>You can submit skins for it in the rf2-skin-submission channel in Discord.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-luminous-vivid-amber-color has-text-color\"><br \/>Rules<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/vrc.createaforum.com\/new-members\/vrc-rules-and-regulations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">VRC Rules and regulations<\/a> will be enforced. Please read them. Rules are subject to change at the discretion of VRC Administration.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-luminous-vivid-amber-color has-text-color\"><br \/>Points<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size: 14px;\">The top 25 drivers will get points. It is as follows:<br \/>32, 28, 25, 23, 21, 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1<br \/><br \/>2 points for the pole<br \/>1 point for starting a race<br \/>1 point for finishing race while completing at least 75% of leader laps.<br \/><br \/>There are Driver and Team Championships.\u00a0<br \/><br \/>Teams:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-white-color has-text-color\">\r\n<li>A maximum of 3 drivers per team.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Only the top two drivers per race will have points for the team championship.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>No need to have the same car or skin.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>If you decide to not be part of a team, basically a one driver team, we will create a team for you as follows, &amp;surname&amp; Racing.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Team movement is not allowed as the points travel with the driver<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-luminous-vivid-amber-color has-text-color\"><br \/>Registration Instructions<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size: 14px;\">In order to ensure the safe and consistent racing our members have come to expect, <em><strong>registration for the series is mandatory.<\/strong><\/em> To register click on Series Sign Up tab on the web site, then click on Registration option and follow the prompts. <br \/>Registrants must use their real name. On the race server real names are enforced. <br \/>Name entered in rFactor is also used for the standings. Avoid changing your name after the first race you participate in, as changing your name will mean that you will have an entry in the standings for each name and points will not be accurately calculated.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-luminous-vivid-amber-color has-text-color\"><br \/>Race Participation<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size: 14px;\">There is no enforcement to participate on a minimum number of races, but race participation will be evaluated from time to time during the season and Active drivers could be moved to the Reserve list and vice versa.. The following guidelines apply on race day:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-white-color has-text-color\">\r\n<li>Maximum driver capacity in the server is determined by the number of available garage boxes per track. This varies depending on each track (normally around 32). To avoid Server performance issues, driver limit will be set at 36 drivers even if garage capacity for the track allows for more.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li><strong>MAKE SURE YOU REGISTER TO GUARANTEE YOUR SPOT ON THE GRID<\/strong><br \/>Drivers need to register for the race in the #race-registration channel in Discord. Active drivers have the priority to register. They will have until 1:30pm UK, 8:30am ET on the Wednesday before the race. Reserve drivers will be able to register after that.<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/discord.com\/channels\/369764712675540993\/1236896159935627316\">https:\/\/discord.com\/channels\/369764712675540993\/1236896159935627316<\/a><\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Very important, if server is maxed out, the cut off point to enter the race will be at the end of the official practice session.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>If we are at the maximum number of drivers when official practice ends, all the drivers in the server can participate in qually and enter the race, regardless of being an Active or Reserve driver and having registered for the race or not. Again, this will be the cut off point and no more drivers can join qually and the race.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>If we are over the maximum of drivers allowed in the server, only drivers who are registered for the race will be able to qually and race. Unfortunately, in this situation, drivers who are not registered will have to leave the server.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>If we are below the maximum number of drivers allowed in the server when official practice ends, all drivers in the server can participate in qually and enter the race, regardless of being an Active or Reserve driver and having registered for the race or not.
